Hello there guys! The Blaze Bayley band is about to release a new album next month, can you make a review out of it?

Hi there! Well, we'll just have to wait and see if any of the staff members have the time and opportunity to do this one. //Tommy

http://www.metalcov enant.com/pages/cdreviews /acedia.htm = intro and conclusion. Where's the middle part? I mean, come on, that's not a review, is it?

Reply:
It is short indeed, but all comments about that I suggest you mail the writer in question. I am not sticking my nose in how they do it. //Tommy

Just wanted to let you all know that The Faceless was insanely awesome tonite in Denver. Completely stole the show from Dying Fetus, Suffokate, and Vital Remains.

Highly recommended!! Love the site

At Tommy: Actually after reading the review again you were infact very clear. Somehow I confused Dark Funeral's (un)rating with another live review... so many concert reviews to read! hehe. It looks like you guys had a blast at the festivals, great stuff :) thanks and cheers!

Check out the swedish death'n'roll band The Generals! Just got a recorddeal with Metalcentral Records. The album was recorded in Sunlight Studios with famous producer Tomas Skogsberg (Hellacopters, Entombed, Dismember).

One song is up on myspace (not mastered yet!) Album will be out in November! http://www.myspace.com/thegeneralsrock

Rockweekend 2009 - Dark Funeral has no rating. Does this mean 0 of 10 chalices? ;) After what seems like an eternaty my google dilemma has been resolved. All is well from Aus, metal cheers!

Perhaps it is not clear in the very short review, but I did not see them long enough to be able to give a fair grade. The little I saw was pretty lously, however, due to the sound. By the way, great to see you back on track with the site again! //Tommy

Greetings brothers! So good to see the mighty Metal Covenant pumping with metal life :) Hope you are all doing great. I always loook forward to visiting this site, and lately, I found myself absorbed in reading all the fantastic live reviews. Awesome stuff! Always nice to catch up on how my favourite bands are performing around the globe. Regarding my site.. well, not too long ago, I had an altercation with google, so to speak; about something which was not my fault. Hopefully things will clear up SOON on the google side of things. The Minstrel is back again with much to look forward to. Thanks Tommy. Keep up the great work, hail from Australia :D

Many, many thanks for those kind words. Everything is great here, and now we are looking to kick back in good old speed again with the site. It has been kind of a lazy summer... //Tommy

Hi there!

Where is the review of the new Powerwolf cd? It has been in the upcoming list for a long time now.

Reply:
Unfortunately that project kind of died out, at least for the time being. But it is a very good album, though. I would say around 7,5/10. Catchy, well played with clear Sabaton vibes in a positive way. //Tommy.

@ Tommy:

Haha, alright. Now it's better with the "---". Candlemass sounds like Candlemass

Markus

I had a good laugh when I just read the Candlemass - Death Magic Doom review when I saw this:

"Similar artists: Scanner, Primal Fear, Silent Force"

Are you serious? The only thing that sound Power Metal-ish to me on the record is the end of "Demon of the Deep" and the chorus of "Dead Angel"...but to call the album similar with those bands? Disagree totally.

Reply:
Disregard that completely, please. That is entirely my fault, a major fuck-up, one might say (it's removed now, by the way). That was just something that I forgot to remove from a previous review which I used as a template. We do have a slightly better knowledge in genres than that, I dare to say... //Tommy

Hi there, Blaze Bayley touring Finland/Sweden right about these days, can we expect a review of a show? Baze rules!

Reply:
Hi there! We've had a guy working on at least a review of the album for quite some time now, but he does not seem to be able to get his thumb out from where the sun don't shine. As for a live review, I don't think there is such a thing planned, I am afraid... //Tommy

5,5 for Ravenous? Come on, it deserves at least an 8.

Reply:
I beg to differ, Tim. (logically, since I wrote it myself ) I can stretch it to perhaps half a point more on a good day, but (unfortunately) it is far from special. A few really good peaks but overall merely decent. //Tommy
