mer bad religion o stuff

We might take you up on that, even though the name of the site might give a slight hint of what style of music we usually are focusing on. But what exactly is the "stuff" you are referring to in this case? Punk/punk rock in general, or something else? //Tommy

Hi guys!
Awesome review of Ensiferum - Ensiferum though it should be 10/10 ;)
I recommend you to check out Equilibrium - Turis Fratyr, recently released. Awesome album which remind a little of Ensiferum and Finntroll.
You should also check out Turisas - Battle Metal a very strong epic album :)

Keep up the good work, Cheers!

I must say that I totally agree with lionheart about Manowar's Warriors of the world. I would even go as far as saying that Warriors... is a masterpiece, still holding a tight grip on me and my CD-player.

Although three years have past, I think I will write a second opinion on that one...

Hmm....mutiny? We'll have to discuss this kind of behaviour on the next staff meeting. ;) //Tommy

A little comment on the review of Firewind's "Forged By Fire" (and I agree with Thomas):

Yesterday I went to my favourite metalstore to have a listen.. and indeed, musically it sounds quite nice and heavy, though Stian's drums sound just like when he's playing with Pagan's Mind. Nothing wrong with that of course, I like it and Stian's a great drummer.

Vocally some songs are good, but then there moments where they don't fit at all, or where he lacks the right range, making these songs sound boring and monotone, and I also have this feeling on Mystic Prophecy's "Never-Ending" (vocals too monotone and dull at certain times).

I also noticed that Gus copied something from Ireland's Therapy?. I think it's on "Tyranny" where at the beginning of the song, the guitar riffs/melody is exactly like on "Nowhere" (Therapy?). Gus is a very good guitar player, but here I'm really dissappointed in him, it's just lame.

Hey Tommy, thanks for repyling. Have you actually given proper consideration to 'The Fight For Freedom', 'Warriors of the World United' and 'House of Death'? They are typical Manowar songs.. Reviewers at other respected metal sites did not give this album a below average rating. Vocals were great, productiion was awesome, music was excellent despite the lack of 'more' pounding Manowar hymns that we have come to expect from the band.

Great work on other aspects of the site though. Sorry for the harsh entry earlier, but you were pretty harsh on theWotW review ;)

Really, I have tried hard to see the value in this album, as I am certain all other reviewers also have. I just can not find it anywhere. I really do like, to not say adore, Manowar otherwise. Almost all their other albums lay in a range of 7 to 9 points, and I always defend them when people want to talk them down as losers. But this last album really stank..... Nice to see that people are engaged in what I am writing, though, and I am more than willing to take harsh comments any day of the week, as long as they are as constructive as this one. See you around. :) //Tommy
